WAXING
DEPILATORY WAXING:We use only the soothing cirepil blue wax from France. Imagine having legs and underarms stay smooth and hair-free for weeks at a time without shaving. Imagine never again experiencing razor rash in the bikini area or packing a razor on vacation. How about not having to tweeze your eyebrows or use a cream bleach or depilatory on your upper lip or chin? These are just some of the benefits of waxing. When hair is removed in the spa with warm resin wax, the entire hair is removed
from the follicle, not just the part that is above the skin line as with
shaving and
chemical depilatories. It takes between 3 to 12 weeks for hair to re-grow.
The new
hair is finer and softer. There is no feeling of “stubble”. If
the papilla of the hair is still
attached at the time of removal, the follicle is no longer able to produce
hair. Therefore,
regular waxing results in reduction of the amount of hair growing in an area. |

CONTRAINDICATIONS:Do not wax any area where you are using Retin A, glycolic acid, salicylic acid or bleach. Do not wax if you are diabetic or have any circulatory problems such as varicose veins. Do not wax if you are having electrolysis or considering it in the future. |

POST WAXING TIPSDo not expose newly waxed area to sun for at least 24 hours. Some skin cells have been sloughed off in the waxing process and the area is vulnerable. For the same reason, do not apply deodorant to newly waxed underarms or use a product containing alcohol after facial waxing. If your hair is curly and tends to become ionian (in-grown), using a loofah sponge daily can keep the area free of dead cell buildup and keep a clear path for the new hair to emerge. An antibacterial cream, such as In-Grow, can help with irritation caused by ingrown hairs. |
